Rosemary

As my favorite writer says in my favorite play:

"There's rosemary, that's for remembrance. Pray you, love, remember!"
Hamlet
William Shakespeare

Rosemary has a long rich history of folklore and medical use. It is always amazing to my how we as a people think that we are so much smarter than people in history because we have computers and cell phones that give us cancer and suck away time from our family life. Yet we have neglected and lost so much of the knowledge of herbs and healing which are essentials for life and health. Rosemary is no exception.
Rosemary is an amazingly versatile oil that can minister to a variety of your body systems. As Shakespeare said rosemary is effective in the brain and nervous system making it useful for memory loss, learning difficulties and indecisiveness. Rosemary is also antiseptic and anti-bacterial which is why you will often see it in hand soaps. It also makes useful for intestine and respiratory complaints. Rosemary is also analgesic so you can use it for arthritis and muscle pains.
My favorite use of rosemary is for my hair. It will smooth and shine your hair. It is also said it can cover up grey in brunettes with consistent use. So as you are experimenting with make at home hair care products and soap don't forget your Rosemary!!
